Plant Powered Pizza
INGREDIENTS
Crust
- 1 Pizza Crust (of Choice) (Ready-to-Bake, Frozen, Refrigerated, or Boxed)
OR Simple Homemade Sauce:
- 1 Can Tomato Paste
- Sprinkle Italian Seasoning
- Dash Garlic Powder
- Dash Onion Powder
- Dash Salt
Veggies of Choice:
- 1 Bell Pepper (Choice of Red, Yellow, OR Orange)
- 1 Medium Yellow Onion
- 1 Can Mushrooms (4 to 6 oz can)
- Dash Morton Nature's Seasons (or Salt & Pepper) (To Taste)
- Drizzle Olive Oil
Toppings of Choice OPTIONAL AS PREFERRED:
- Sliced Green Olives
- Sliced Black Olives
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Vegan Mozzarella Cheese
- Fresh Spinach
- Fresh Basil
- Red Pepper Flakes
- Fresh Arugula
- Vegan Grated Parmesan
INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare Crust:
- Prepare the crust according to the package instructions.1 Pizza Crust (of Choice)
Prepare Sauce:
- If Using Store Bought Sauce: Taste sauce and add spices to increase flavor. Pizza sauce is best if flavorful and zesty.1 Jarred Pizza Sauce (of Choice)
- OR If Making Simple Homemade Sauce: Thin out tomato paste to the desired consistency, and add above seasonings to taste.1 Can Tomato Paste, Sprinkle Italian Seasoning, Dash Garlic Powder, Dash Onion Powder, Dash Salt
- Evenly spread an ample amount of sauce on the crust.
Prepare Veggies:
- Slice or dice veggies to the preferred size.1 Bell Pepper (Choice of Red, Yellow, OR Orange), 1 Medium Yellow Onion, 1 Can Mushrooms (4 to 6 oz can)
- Add veggies to the pizza directly OR PREFERRED (if you have time) sauté veggies for a few minutes with some olive oil until crisp tender.Drizzle Olive Oil
- Season veggies to taste.Dash Morton Nature's Seasons (or Salt & Pepper)
Add Additional Toppings - OPTIONAL AS PREFERRED:
- Slice olives and/or cherry tomatoes.Sliced Green Olives, Cherry Tomatoes, Sliced Black Olives
- Add additional toppings to the pizza and sprinkle a small amount of vegan cheese if desired.Fresh Spinach, Vegan Mozzarella Cheese
- Place the pizza in the oven and cook for 10-15 minutes until veggies are slightly wilted, and the pizza is heated through.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to sit for 2-3 minutes.
- Add any remaining optional toppings, cut, and serve.Fresh Basil, Fresh Arugula, Vegan Grated Parmesan, Red Pepper Flakes
